Michael Jensen – Director, Technology
In 2015, Michael joined Westchester Publishing Services to apply his depth of digital technology experience to the platforms and systems at Westchester, with a focus on ensuring unrivaled excellence for the client experience.
Michael has worked at the interface between digital technologies and publishing since the late 1980s. He has been a thought leader in the scholarly/academic publishing community for more than twenty years, through public presentations, published articles, and direct consultations. Prior to Westchester, Michael led the startup phase at Project Muse that enabled it to scale. From there he moved on to Director of Publishing Technologies, Director of Web Communications and other positions at the National Academies of Press, leading the invention of the groundbreaking online publishing platform for the National Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Medicine, the National Research Council, and the National Academy of Engineering. He also taught distance education courses for George Washington University’s Master in Publishing Program.
