Thomas V. Hartmann – Business Development Manager
Over the course of his career in publishing, Tom has held a variety of roles, from digital content developer to acquisitions editor to agent, and his experience spans several verticals, including Higher Education, STM, Scholarly, and Trade. Previously Tom was a Senior Editor at John Wiley & Sons and a Commissioning Editor at Elsevier Science. In addition, he managed the book publishing program at the American College of Physicians, and since 2011 he has been an adjunct professor in the Graduate Publishing Program at Rosemont College. Tom is the co-editor, with Michael A. LaCombe, MD of In Whatever Houses We May Visit, an anthology of poems about doctors and patients, illness and healing, and he’s contributed articles, reviews, or photographs to the Philadelphia Inquirer, The Photo Review, and other publications both in print and online. Tom is a passionate fan and amateur baseball historian, and he reads regularly about photography, art & architecture, US history, and 20th-century popular culture.
